About:

Through the making of jewelry I have realized the importance of workmanship. It has become my goal to develop work that displays an understanding of technical ability as a significant aspect of the development of thoughtful imagery. I seek to engage an audience that is excited to embrace the beauty of craft and the intellect of art.
I am driven to portray man in a post humanist world. My work attempts to convey man as a diffident being, inferior to the experience of life. I explore the vulnerable human, who is ambiguous in life, characterized only by his situation. I intend to reference classic images that evoke empathy and ask: What does it mean to be alive, to suffer and endure, and ultimately to die? The wearer experiences an identity that seeks to be true to life. The objects become personal reminders that man is a small figure in the totality of existence.
